These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Mama Novum mobile application for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch, including its widgets, Live Activities, Siri shortcuts and Control Center controls ("the App"), developed and published by Mama Novum ("we", "us" or "our"). By downloading or using the App you agree to these Terms and to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement ("Apple EULA"). Where these Terms and the Apple EULA differ, these Terms apply to the extent the law allows. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
Mama Novum helps parents and caregivers record and follow a baby's day — sleep, feeding, diapers, pumping, solids, growth, health notes and development — and offers general information for the first years of a child's life.
Not medical advice. Mama Novum is not a medical device. Its forecasts, norms, growth charts, solids guidance, vaccination calendars, the EPDS questionnaire and all other content are general information and personal records only. They do not diagnose, treat or replace advice from your pediatrician, doctor, midwife or other qualified professional. Always ask a professional about your baby's or your own health, and never delay seeking care because of something in the App. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
The App is intended for adults (18 or the age of majority where you live) who are parents or caregivers. It is not directed to children.
There is no registration or account. Your data is stored on your device and, if you use iCloud, in your own iCloud account through Apple's CloudKit. You are responsible for your device, your Apple ID and your iCloud storage. iCloud availability, sync speed and storage depend on Apple; we cannot guarantee them. How we handle data is described in the Privacy Policy.
You can export your data (Profile → Export all data) and delete it (Profile → Delete all data) at any time. Deletion cannot be undone — please export first if you want a copy.
With Premium you can invite other people (for example, a partner, nanny or grandparent) to your family through iCloud. Invited members can see and edit the family's records. You are responsible for whom you invite and for the information you share with them. You can remove members or stop sharing at any time. Your "For me" section is never shared.
Recording is free: every tracker and every record can be used without paying, with no limit on the number of records. Mama Novum Premium is an optional subscription that adds features such as the sleep forecast, the full history, WHO growth charts, the complete solids library and plan, all development content, family sharing and Premium widgets. The current list of Premium features is shown in the App. We may change, add or remove features; if Premium changes materially during a paid period, you can cancel as described below.
You own everything you enter into the App (records, notes, photos). It stays on your device and in your iCloud; we do not receive it and claim no rights in it. You are responsible for content you add, including photos of other people, and for having the right to store and share it.
The App, its design, illustrations, texts, data collections (such as the foods, recipes, milestones and play ideas) and code belong to us or our licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the Apple EULA. You may not copy, sell, modify, reverse engineer or redistribute the App or its content, or use it to build a competing product, except where the law expressly allows.
Do not misuse the App: do not break the law with it, try to access it or its services without permission, interfere with its operation, or use it to harm, harass or deceive others.
We work to keep the App useful and reliable, but it is provided "as is" and "as available". Features may change, and we may update, suspend or discontinue the App. Some features depend on Apple services (iCloud, widgets, Live Activities, Siri, Apple Watch) and on your iOS version and settings.
To the extent permitted by law, we give no warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of forecasts or completeness of information. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data (please keep your iCloud on and export your data regularly), and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your mandatory consumer rights.
These Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support, and is not responsible for any claims relating to the App (including product-liability, legal-compliance or intellectual-property claims). If the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price; to the maximum extent permitted by law Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. You confirm that you are not in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or on a U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
These Terms are governed by the applicable law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live and may bring claims in its courts. Before going to court, please write to us — most issues can be solved quickly.
We may update these Terms. We will change the date above and, for significant changes, let you know in the App. If you keep using the App after the change, the new Terms apply; if you do not agree, stop using the App and cancel your subscription.
